The Indigenous Prosperity Foundation is pleased to welcome Matt Tapper to its Board of Directors.
A proud member of Sipekne’katik Mi’kmaw Nation in Nova Scotia, Matt lives off reserve in the Kjipuktuk (Halifax) area. He brings more than a decade of experience in Indigenous governance and financial management.
Matt currently serves as Relationship Manager with the First Nations Financial Management Board, supporting First Nations across Atlantic Canada in strengthening financial systems, governance, and long-term sustainability.

Matt has previously held national leadership roles as Chief Executive Officer of the Aboriginal Sport Circle and General Manager at Ulnooweg Development Group, overseeing portfolios that advanced Indigenous entrepreneurship and community capacity. With a strong background in finance, governance development, and strategic partnerships, he is committed to advancing Indigenous-led solutions that foster accountability and long-term prosperity.
