Alejandra Metallic-Janvier Appointed as Program Officer at the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation
The Indigenous Prosperity Foundation (IPF) is proud to announce the appointment of Alejandra Metallic-Janvier as Program Officer within our Programs Team.
Alejandra is a Mi’gmaq and Dene Suline woman from Listuguj Mi’gmaq First Nation and Cold Lake First Nation in Treaty 6, Alberta. She brings a strong background in Indigenous mentorship, clean energy capacity building, and youth education, shaped by her lived experience and grounded in cultural teachings. Alejandra holds an Honours degree in Neuroscience and Mental Health from Carleton University and has worked across post-secondary institutions, nonprofit organizations, and national youth platforms.
In her new role, Alejandra will lead the delivery of engaging, culturally relevant training and workshops focused on entrepreneurship and financial literacy for Indigenous youth. Her work will focus on building
trusted relationships with communities, supporting program accessibility, and creating empowering learning experiences that help young people navigate financial systems with confidence.

Alejandra’s strength lies in weaving together Indigenous knowledge systems and mentorship approaches to create inclusive spaces for learning, self-determination, and empowerment. Her appointment reflects IPF’s ongoing commitment to uplifting Indigenous youth and strengthening the entrepreneurial
ecosystem across Turtle Island.
