The Indigenous Prosperity Foundation (IPF) and the McConnell Foundation are walking together in a shared commitment to advancing a reconciliation economy. Through collaboration with Community Futures North Central Development (CFNCD), this partnership expands mentorship opportunities and creates pathways for Indigenous women, youth, and entrepreneurs to thrive across Canada.
The McConnell Foundation has joined the circle of the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation with a multi-year commitment. Together, we are expanding mentorship rooted in kinship, strengthening IPF’s strategic tools through collaboration with CFNCD, and nurturing Indigenous-led prosperity grounded in culture, reciprocity, and collective success.
Strengthening the Circle Through Shared Values.
At the heart of this partnership is the expansion of IPF’s Grant & Mentorship Program in North Central Manitoba, delivered in collaboration with CFNCD. This initiative will support up to ten mentor–mentee duos each year, creating opportunities for Indigenous women, youth, and early-stage entrepreneurs to start and grow thriving businesses.
“Walking together with partners like the McConnell Foundation expands our circle and strengthens our vision of an inclusive economy led by Indigenous entrepreneurs.”
— Relay Tangie, VP Development & Finance IPF
The McConnell Foundation’s support reflects a deep belief in walking alongside Indigenous-led solutions. Rather than prescribing answers, this partnership honours the wisdom, resilience, and leadership that already exist within Indigenous communities. It is rooted in trust, reciprocity, and a shared vision of prosperity that grows stronger when communities are empowered to lead their own paths forward.
For the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation, this partnership is an opportunity to expand programs that reflect our mission: advancing Indigenous prosperity through mentorship, training, digital access, and funding. By working together with CFNCD and the McConnell Foundation, we are creating more than programs — we are building a reconciliation economy where Indigenous entrepreneurs thrive, and where values of kinship and collaboration guide every step.
This partnership embodies the National Indigenous Economic Strategy’s Calls to Prosperity, bringing them to life as guiding values rather than a list of obligations. It is reconciliation in practice, showing what is possible when funders and Indigenous-led organizations walk together toward a shared vision of prosperity.
