Launchpad Cohort Model

Supporting Indigenous Entrepreneurs

Through Training, Mentorship & Funding

The Launchpad Program uses a dual-track model designed to keep entrepreneurship training accessible while providing structured mentorship and funding opportunities for participants ready to grow their business ideas.

Program Structure

Launchpad combines:

  • Open-access entrepreneurship training with continuous intake
  • Cohort-based mentorship and granting cycles

This approach allows participants to learn at their own pace while accessing deeper support through mentorship and funding opportunities.

Cohort Model

Launchpad cohorts run every 8 weeks, creating six cohorts annually. Each cohort lasts three months and supports approximately 15-20 participants, aligned with mentor capacity and program delivery.

Participants begin by registering for Launchpad training and indicating interest in mentorship and funding opportunities. After completing an intake form, applicants move through a verification and readiness screening process before being assigned to the next available cohort. Participants then attend a pre-cohort orientation before beginning mentorship and grant activities.

Mentorship & Funding

The mentorship model includes mentor matching, kickoff sessions, ongoing check-ins, and progress tracking throughout the three-month cohort period. Grant opportunities are tied directly to cohort cycles, with eligible participants able to apply for up to $5,000 in funding.

Applications are reviewed by an evaluation panel for each cycle, ensuring a consistent and supportive review process for entrepreneurs.

With training remaining open year-round and six structured cohorts annually, Launchpad is designed to create accessible pathways for Indigenous entrepreneurs while strengthening mentorship networks, business readiness, and long-term community impact. Deadline to submit the expression of interest on Friday, June 15. 1st cohort will begin July 1st.
