IPF Announces Leadership Transition as
Relay Tangie Returns to NACCA
The Indigenous Prosperity Foundation (IPF) is sharing an important leadership update as Relay Tangie, Vice President of Finance & Development, prepares to conclude her secondment and return to National Aboriginal Capital Corporations Association on June 29, 2026.
Relay has played a foundational role in IPF’s growth and development over the past two years. From the earliest stages of ideation, she helped champion the vision for what would become the Indigenous Prosperity Foundation—working alongside partners to build the original business case, support the organization’s establishment as a registered charity, recruit the inaugural Board of Directors, and onboard IPF’s first Executive Director.

“Relay has been instrumental in building IPF into what it is today,
She poured her heart into this organization from the very beginning.
--- Michelle Okere
As a core member of the leadership team, Relay has helped shape the organization’s strategic direction, strengthen partnerships, and build the operational and financial systems required to support long-term impact. Her leadership has been instrumental in helping IPF evolve from an idea into a national organization supporting Indigenous women, youth, and early-stage entrepreneurs across Canada.
"Her leadership, integrity, and deep commitment to community have left a lasting mark on IPF and on all of us who have had the privilege of working alongside her. We are incredibly grateful for her allyship, her guidance, and the strong foundation she helped build. While we will miss her deeply, we are proud to see her return to NACCA, where her impact will continue at a national level.” --- Michelle Okere
Relay’s transition reflects the strong and ongoing relationship between IPF and NACCA, and the shared commitment to advancing Indigenous economic prosperity across Canada.

“It has been an honour to be part of IPF during such a formative time, what began as an idea five years ago has grown into a vibrant and meaningful organization, made possible by the dedication of our team, the commitment of our partners, and the support of NACCA” --- Relay Tangie
IPF’s programs, partnerships, and strategic priorities will continue without disruption. This transition reflects the organization’s growing maturity, strong internal leadership, and commitment to continuity.
“As my secondment comes to a close, I am filled with gratitude and pride — and great confidence in what lies ahead. This work is deeply meaningful. I look forward to continuing to support this ecosystem through my work at NACCA.” --- Relay Tangie
As we prepare for this next chapter, we extend our deep gratitude to Relay for her leadership, vision, and countless contributions—and look forward to continued collaboration in the years ahead.
